It has long been part of our mission to build strong and enduring links with Law Faculty alumni and other CUHK graduates now practising law, both to enable us to stay in touch with past students and also so that alumni may maintain or re-establish contact with each other.
This website and its alumni links, twice-yearly newsletter and e-mentoring resources will serve to help strengthen those connections to the mutual benefit of alumni and students alike as well as providing the Chinese University of Hong Kong Law Alumni Association, formed by a group of former students and supported by the Faculty, with a platform for its activities and events.
In 2016 the Faculty of Law will celebrate 10 years of successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and our alumni ranks have now grown to exceed more than four thousand in number. Through our new e-mentoring platform we are also therefore hoping that today’s law students can benefit from the experience of those who have established careers in the legal profession, government, business, and industry.
We also hope that, through maintaining contact with our alumni, we can enhance the Faculty’s presence in the Hong Kong community and indeed further afield, ever mindful of our mission to bring together common law and Chinese law with other great legal traditions and values to promote justice and safeguard the rule of law.
I therefore welcome our alumni to this website and would encourage all to join with us in this enterprise by registering with us now, by contributing news and features for the newsletter and, through the secure links of the e-mentoring page, helping to providing your much-needed guidance and support to our students in what has become a very competitive and challenging jobs market.
