Welcome to the first edition of the Faculty of Law’s Alumni Newsletter!
I am pleased to announce that, to coincide with the 10-year anniversary of the Faculty of Law in 2016, we have this month launched not only this publication, the first in a series of twice-yearly newsletters, but also our alumni website and e-mentoring programme.
As I say in my message on the website, it has long been part of our mission to build strong and lasting links with Law Faculty alumni and other CUHK graduates now practising law, to enable us to stay in touch with past students and also so that alumni may maintain or re-establish contact with each other.
This newsletter and the website with its alumni links are therefore part of our long-term commitment to ensure that we maintain and strengthen those connections to the mutual advantage of both the students here and our alumni. In doing so we also provide the Chinese University of Hong Kong Law Alumni Association, formed by a group of former students and supported by the Faculty, with a platform for its activities and events.
I therefore say a warm welcome once again and encourage you to register with us now at alumni.law.cuhk.edu.hk, in order to receive future editions of this newsletter, to keep up with developments at the Faculty and to enable you to maintain your links both with the Law Faculty and your former CUHK colleagues and hopefully also to participate in our e-mentoring programme. I would also encourage you to contribute any news and features for the newsletter and, of course, welcome any suggestions as to how we may further enhance the relationship between the Faculty and our alumni.
